Sunrise

“Look under the stars and you shall see
A world was created for you and me.”
You whispered this to me so softly
As the cool breeze passed us by gently.
And hand in hand, we walked together
Along the shores that ends forever.

At the beach, we decided to wait
For the tomorrow, and a clean slate.
Hoping the sea to wash all our sins.
Believing from east, the sun begins.
We closed our eyes and felt the warm sun
While promising to no longer run.

I opened my eyes to take a peek
At your bright face that I always seek.
But what I had left from my sight
Was your memory that vanished through the night.
And as I welcome this sunrise alone,
I wished for you to finally find a home.
