You Make Me Laugh!

❗ Warning: Offensive Post

I am not password protecting this post because I want everyone to be able to read this post if they will. I am forewarning you. Read at your own discretion. I care less if you get offended and cry before me. I had lost my heart for charity. I had enough balderdashes to this lifetime! Continue if you will.

Below our campus, there is this Fellowship Youth Center or whatever they call it. I was invited to join it a few days had past. I thought, “Why not, I have nothing to lose. I would only try it once, anyway.” But then, as I go on with my reading, now I’m having second thoughts I decided not to go. If I would, I would just offend them by walking out on them when I couldn’t bare the lies they would throw unto me. Born Again Christians are the only true Christians? You people make me laugh hard dont you? You know what, I heard that from several religions already! INC people think the same, Muslims also thinks the same. Almost all religions think the same! And what else, Catholicism is not a part of Christianity? Catholics are evil because they are Satanist?! Atheist are Satanist as well. And what next? All people besides your kind are Satanist and evil and must be burned down to Hell when the time ends? Geez! For your god’s sake, help yourselves and open your eyes! Your god is making you blind and you still believe him because he gives you his eternal love? You’re willing to sacrifice that much just for a love that you never proved to be true? I’m sorry for being straight and I’m sorry for even trying to point it out. Because I always knew you wouldn’t see it because you’re already blind. Blinded by your god’s love.

Let the True(tm) Christians empty all the hospitals here in the Philippines. Pagalingin nila lahat ng may sakit lalo na yung mga mahihirap na walang pambayad sa hospital.

If anyone can do these, then maniniwala na ako na True(tm) Christians nga mga yan.

  2. Euri– hey! Ok. I just woke up not too long ago but that post sure had a spark to it didn’t it? I’m not going to correct you on anything because it’s a rant and I don’t correct rants.. πŸ˜‰ You’re a good kid and while you’re right on the Born Again Christian part and how they aren’t the best or only true Christians, the “?!” used in the “Catholics are Satanists” confused me.. but seeing it again I thank you for disagreeing with that statement… I’m a Catholic and I am NOT a Satanist.

    πŸ™‚

    Chat with you later perhaps?

Do take care.. good hearing another post from you, Euri.. I know you mean well.

  3. Yeah, I did.

I just can’t take that they insult other’s beliefs as if theirs are perfect! As if theirs is the ultimate truth!

  4. “Catholics are evil because they are Satanist”.

Heck, who said that? How dare he/she/it.

    Even if he/she/it is a Christian, Muslim, Born Again, Buddhist, whatever, they should still respect the religion of the others, and they shouldn’t claim that they’re perfect or true or anything else. -_-;;

  5. It is almost impossible to (genuinely) respect other people’s belief when you believe that by not believing the same way you do, they will burn in hell and deserve it.

Tolerance is a misnomer for Evangelicals (or any other religion which has a exclusivity theological stance). Anyone who claims that they respect your belief but still thinks at the back of their mind that you are deserving and worthy of eternal torture for not believing the same way as they do is hypocrisy at its best.

(Sigh), exclusivist Christians… so sure of their truth…

I find Liberal and <a href=”http://www.universalistchristians.org/”” rel=”nofollow”>Universalist Christians way more reasonable than these arrogant exclusivists.

  6. Angela,
It was not just her, if it would be just her, I would understand why she thinks that way.

    Angeli,
Easy ka lang sis, alam kong Catholic ka. I don’t want you to be like them. A big pile of insolence!

    Vince,
Yeah, you guys are included. I didn’t include myself kasi sabi nga ni Randy, galit lang ako sa Diyos kaya ko nagkakaganito. πŸ˜†

I remembered the <a href=”http://universist.org/”” rel=”nofollow”>United Universist… I was even one of the first people to get the badge! πŸ˜‰ Let me browse at that site first and comment afterwards. Learning something new is always good to feed the brain. Too bad, I couldn’t apply it to my ISM course that lead me to failure.

  7. hmmm.. and I thought their “god” was their judge… yet they judge people themselves. Isn’t it that it should be their “god” who should decide who are the real Christians? Yet they act as if they know better than their “god”. I mean, they are the ones who decide on who will and who won’t burn in hell… I think their “god” should the rightful one to decide on that too right? errr… go figure… im still sleepy. I’ll comment again later. ^_^

    zZZzzzZZzZZZzZZ

  8. (O.O Lots of comments)

Why do you guys only get out of your holes when this kind of topic arises here? Geez!

    Randy,
Well said, I might say. To think that you had been a preacher for that Church. tease

    Dexter,
    The priest.
Blessed you father and welcome to my blog! blesses and whacks herself afterwards I understand what you meant.

  9. ?Catholics are evil because they are Satanist?! Atheist are Satanist as well. And what next? All people besides your kind are Satanist and evil and must be burned down to Hell when the time ends??

And still they claim that they respect other people?s beliefs by imposing that any other beliefs, contrary to theirs, is of Satan?

If one claims that he/she respects any other beliefs (teachings, creeds and doctrines) aside from theirs, and at the same time believes that these other “false” teachings comes from Satan, he/she is, in turn, also saying that he/she respects the teachings of Satan.

People who propagates this discriminating religious intolerance do not realize that by saying that they respect other people?s ?satanic? beliefs, they are, in the process, also saying that they respect Satan.

In other words, they are respecting the very one they have been zealously ?casting out? and ?driving out? in Jesus name.

    And it is hypocrisy indeed.

  10. “Why do you guys only get out of your holes when this kind of topic arises here? Geez!”

hmm… we are just trying to clarify the misconceptions euri… ^_^

  11. ?Why do you guys only get out of your holes when this kind of topic arises here? Geez!?

Let’s just say that this post came at the right place, at the right time, and at the right condition. πŸ˜€

  12. Those people are less than 0.5% of the intolerant Filipinos. They won’t live without being dependent to anyone or anything. They won’t acknowledge any other belief except their own. Their minds are locked. And I pity them…it’s going to be too late when they find out that they’ve been believing in false hopes and miracles…XP

    Go, Euri! LOL.

But…then…we can never be so sure. XD

  13. The good thing of posting and entry up when there’s no classes, you get a full support from the group! πŸ˜†

    Najo,
Yeah, I know. We ourselves don’t have the right to say that a divine being doesn’t exist because we ourselves do not know that. And same goes to them. salutes Najo and kills Randy for commenting first

  14. We ouselves don?t have the right to say that a divine being doesn?t exist because we ourselves do not know that. And same goes to them.

There are a lot of things that we believe in that cannot be proven. I do not think it is necessary to to have an incontrovertible, certain, irrevocable proof in order to believe in something.

As long as there are rational justifications to believe (or not believe) in something, that is sufficient.

We have never observed the planets orbiting the sun, yet we believe in it based on strong evidence and logical inference. But those still do not constitute to incontrovertible, certain, irrevocable proof.

As an agnostic/skeptic, I adhere to the axiom that absolute certainty doesn’t exist in the world. As (on the verge of becoming) a positive atheist, I believe in the proposition that we should not suspend judgment about the non-existence of a god or gods since there are strong rational justifications in support of this view.

Arrgggh!! Here I am again ranting…

  15. I know I was the one you are referring too ^_^ Do not worry, I am not mad. I understand why you are laughing and doing this. At first, I wanted to reply and give you all the verses that I can give you since you’ve question about religion.. no relationship with Jesus. But God stop me, Why would I get hurt? or get angry at you? In the first place.. Jesus also “experience” this. Since you were reading the Bible.. then let me ask you ^_^ my friend,

How many times, Did other people laughed at Jesus.. as Jesus was preaching The Word? How many times did they mocked Jesus and when Jesus was sharing the word of God?

If you do not want to be with us in the fellowship, then do not. But you are welcome to join us once you are ready. We are not forcing you.

And if you got mad at my site for proclaiming that “Born again Christian” Is the right way. I have never said that. It’s the bible who said that. (John 3) and (John 14).

Do not get mad at me. I am just following the Bible. Fully. If the Bible did not said what it said in John 3.. I will not quote it.

    God bless,
    Chette

  16. Paraniod? Actually, you are a part of it. But it doesn’t only centers to you. It goes to mostly of you people in general. πŸ™‚

How many times, Did other people laughed at Jesus.. as Jesus was preaching The Word? How many times did they mocked Jesus and when Jesus was sharing the word of God?

Before I would answer your question, answer me first. Let me throw back your question, then.

How many times did Jesus Christ mock other’s religion? Why? Because you do. (I’m sorry for being frank.) As Mahatma Gandhi had said, “I like your Christ, but I don’t like your Chsitians”

Do not get mad at me. I am just following the Bible. Fully. If the Bible did not said what it said in John 3.. I will not quote it.

I’m not. I’m an honest person. You know I would tall you that I hated you if I did. But to be honest, I pity you being blinded as you pity me w/o a god. “Salvation is by being born again by faith.” (borrowed from Randy) It says, being one by faith not per se. They’re different.

  17. Hey you two. You both need to get your Biblical scholarship straight. Jesus was never mocked because he preached the “Word of God”. Nor did Jesus mocked other religions… at least not to the extent some people think he did.

Jesus incited anger among the Jewish religious leaders because he is preaching something that is different from the Hebrew Bible – The Jews’ Word of God (and, now, the Christians’ Old Testament). He is actually introducing a new teaching that is so drastically different with what the Jews believed and what they believe was taught and written on the Hebrew Bible thereby accusing him of blasphemy. So by Jewish standard and culture, Jesus is not preaching the “Word of God”. If he did preached the “Word of God”, then he would not be mocked.

Aside from the Jewish religion and very slight reference to a pagan practice, we do not have any evidence that he attacked any other else.

Today, Christians now posess in their hands several Bible translations of the Hebrew and Greek manuscript copies. Evangelical and Fundamentalist Christians believe that these copies are generally faithful to the original autographs. In simple terms, they believe that the Bible, as we have it now, to be the Word of God.

With that said, picture this. Suppose someone came and started preaching a set of teachings that is drastically different from what you believe the Bible teaches. How would you react in that situation? Try to internalize and emphatize with this and you’ll understand why the Jewish religious leaders of that time acted the way they did.

But of course these things could have been avoided if they had only exercised reason, instead of fanaticism and blind faith, as their guide to the truth. Jesus did taught some lessons that, although contradicted some Jewish beliefs, they nevertheless put the outdated morals of the Tanakh to shame. If only the Jews during that time had used their reason, prudence and sensibility, all these complications could have been avoided.

Same principle applies with many Christians nowadays. Many of their biblical morals are now outdated and are now considered irrelevant by modern standards. Let us learn from history and avoid repeating the same mistake that the Jews made…

Note: I am assuming for the sake of discussion that a historical Jesus existed and that the gospels do contain to some extent authentic statements that Jesus said himself.

  18. This is why I hate it when you journalized. You post LONG entries and you post LONG comments too. Good thing, for the sake of learning, I am willing to read them all even if they are LONG. LOL!

  19. I am just following the Bible. Fully. If the Bible did not said what it said in John 3.. I will not quote it.

I would contest that Born Again Christians do NOT follow the Bible fully. They only follow what best suits their biases and avoid those things that do not fit their worldviews.

But again it is moot to discuss these points so I shall not delve into this further.

  20. ?Salvation is by being born again by faith.? (borrowed from Randy) It says, being one by faith not per se. They?re different.

What do you mean by this? Clear the ambiguity.

  21. If you pity me for being blinded. If you think that I am blind. It is your choice and freewill to think that ^_^ But for me? I personally Thank God that He did not stop knocking in my heart. If you will ask me what life I prefer? In the past? or today? I will definitely say “today”. Why? You know me. You know me personally. And you also, said it yourself. “I have been to both points of Life.”

I am blinded by God’s Love? And I am thankful for that. Why? because everyday I can see how God transform my life. I would rather feel this way, instead of the feeling of vanity when I don’t yet accept Him. I would rather choose be blinded by God, instead of feeling empty (like me in the past) πŸ˜‰

I would contest that Born Again Christians do NOT follow the Bible fully. They only follow what best suits their biases and avoid those things that do not fit their worldviews.

Can you give me one verse of this?

    Thank you ^_^
    Chette

  22. also to add but do not worry this is my last post in this comment ^_^ Jesus did not mock any religions. True. BUT He did rebuke them. He told some people the ways of God. I do not judge nor condemn. There is a difference of Sharing, Rebuking, testifying, and condemning, judging and mocking.

If Jesus did mind his own business and never rebuked churches AND ask for the unity of all the religions. He will never die on the cross. People will NOT get mad at Him.

    ^_^ God bless,
    Chette

  23. I do not judge nor condemn. There is a difference of Sharing, Rebuking, testifying, and condemning, judging and mocking.

You just did. Try reading all that you had posted. Everything. Including in blog archives, forums like FCF and others you are in.

“One could never know his mistake unless he admits he committed it.”

You are always welcome here to share your opinions. Wala namang nagbabawal sayo diba? You don’t have to tell me that it would be your last comment.

  24. Can you give me one verse of this?

    Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:11-12 :

11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission.
12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

So if you are really following the Bible to the letter, why are you still teaching and preaching the gospel? When Paul clearly speaks of not allowing women to teach.

Before you accuse me of ?taking the Bible out of context?, let me remind you that the preceding and succeeding verses speaks of the context that women should not be allowed to hold position (where they would be in the position of teaching and leadership authority) in churches. So does your church have women pastors? How about Sunday School teachers? Does it also have women Bible teachers?

Also notice the Greek word used there for the word ?to teach?. The Greek word is didaskein which connotes to teach in a public context (Robertson?s Word Pictures). This means that Paul is not allowing women to*:

1a)to hold discourse with others in order to instruct them, deliver didactic discourses
    1b) to be a teacher
1c) to discharge the office of a teacher, conduct one?s self as a teacher

    2a) to impart instruction
    2b) instill doctrine into one
2c) the thing taught or enjoined
2d) to explain or expound a thing
    2f) to teach one something

    *Thayer?s Greek Definition

The Bible is clearly putting women in an inferior position. Now the question is, would you obey the Bible?

  25. Vince,
Do you have to state that? It makes me more sad whenever I see those texts. πŸ™ How women are deprived of almost everything.

  26. In my interpretation, you do not need to be solely a Born Again Christian to attain salvation.

No actually, the gospel of John does speak of salvation by faith alone.

You have to remember that Christian theology does evolve.

In the synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark Luke), salvation is said to be attained by merely doing good, such as having a good and sincere intention, helping the sick, giving alms to the poor etc. You won’t find faith in Christ or the Born Again experience there. You don’t even have to be a Christian in order to be saved! So long as you do feed the hungry, give alms to the poor, clothe the naked, do good works etc, That is enough! (Mat 25:34-40). In the pervious verse mentioned, they do not even know that they were saved! Meanwhile, there will be people who claim and thought they were the true followers of him and yet they would be in for a surprise when Christ judge them. (Matthew 7:21-23)

    Decades later…

When John was written (decades after the synoptics), the concept of faith in Christ was introduced. So it is only later that salvation by faith began permeating the Christian Theology.

If you will study the history of the Christian Church in depth, what early Christians believe is way different than what modern Christians believe. That is just something to keep in mind.

  27. Never proved his love… you make me laugh now. I’m assuming that you think sacrificing his own son isn’t enough? Isn’t that the best proof he loves us more than anything else? Love that great is worth more than you can ever imagine. Maybe you should open your eyes…? Think why it annoys you so much…? That’s just my opinion. Take care! πŸ™‚

  28. Sus! Naman Randy eh! Misinterpretation na naman! I think I would restate that post.

    [Commercial]

Trivia: Yung “sus” pala ay nanggaling sa “Hesus”. Actually, sa “susmariosep” which is a shortened term for Jesus, Maria, Hosep (tama ba tong mga spelling ko? Feel free to correct me.)

“Thou shall not use the Lord’s name in vain.”

We’re breaking this again and again. Though we do not realize it.

    Anyway, back to my post…
What I mean is, you don’t have to be a Born Again Xn to attain salvation. You just need the Faith. Not just any other faith they claim, but “the Faith.”

  29. Mia,
You are assuming I believed that he did sacrificed his son (assuming them both as different entities) in the first place. Could love be proved with just mere texts from a book that they also assumed to be the word of god? OR is it that you had been to Christ’s time and back? That you had seen him died and resurrected at that. Do you get my point?

  30. Jesus did not mock any religions. True. BUT He did rebuke them.

Yes and No. I would agree with you that rebuking may well be the more appropriate term rather than mocking when it applies to Jesus’ defiance of the Jewish system. But No, he did not concerned himself with other religions other than those that concerned Israel, though as I said in my previous post, he did commented a little bit about one Gentile practice (Mat 6:7).

On a curious note, there is also one time when Jesus called Gentiles “dogs” (Mat 15:26). And he did call the Pharisees “brood of vipers” on several occasions (Mat 3:7, Mat 12:34, Mat 23:33, Luk 3:7). He also called people “fools” (Mat 23:17) even though he warned previously that such language puts you in danger of hellfire (Mat 5:22). These verses are some of the passages that Eliseo Soriano is using to justify his incessant usage of “seemingly” foul words when preaching. Does this tantamount to mocking? Well in the end, it will all depend on how one would define “mocking”.

  31. Damn! Dare you post that name here! >.<
RANDY!! Be more like Vince – a true gentle man and doesn’t hate Gackt at that!

  32. “Never proved his love? you make me laugh now. I?m assuming that you think sacrificing his own son isn?t enough? Isn?t that the best proof he loves us more than anything else? Love that great is worth more than you can ever imagine. Maybe you should open your eyes?? Think why it annoys you so much?? That?s just my opinion”

I honestly do not see this as a genuine sacrifice. Since according to your theology, Jesus is God himself. Further, his incarnation is that of hypostatic union, that is he is both 100% man and 100% God fused into one. As God He is all knowing. He knows exactly what will happen after subjugating himself as a sacrfice on the cross. he knows that the pain and death is temporary and after that temporary pain, he will be raised again and become eternal king forever more. This greatly eliminates the remarkableness of the act.

If he knows exactly that he will be resurrected in the end anyway, what is so special then about the act? Being God, he would also know that he was really incapable of suffering any real harm. He has ultimately nothing to fear since He knows that his eternal destiny is secure. And he knows that after a few hours of suffering on earth, He shall reign forevermore as a result. What is a few hours of pain compared to an eternity of kingship? A few hours of sacrifice is not really a sacrfice when you know you would be raised to life anyway. A brief moment of sacrifice is insignificant compare it to what He will be getting in return.

And I find this sin-sacrifice theology absurd. In one sentence this doctrine could be summarized as:

“For GOD so loved the world that HE sacrificed HIMSELF to HIMSELF to appease HIS own anger at HIS OWN creation.”

There is no law against superstitious ignorance. As for me, I have better things to do with my time.

  33. Jesus is just an ordinary person like us but with an extraordinary heart.

    Yun lang masasabi ko
He was, indeed, a very good role model. We should not argue about the scriptures in the bible coz we are different people and we have different interpretations.

Sa totoo lang, we should not take the bible as the “book of rules”, but we should take the bible as an inspiration to do good things

    opinion ko lang

  34. Vince-
Do you have to state that? It makes me more sad whenever I see those texts. πŸ™ How women are deprived of almost everything.

I didn’t state that. Apostle Paul did.

  35. Jesus is just an ordinary person like us but with an extraordinary heart.

    Exactly. πŸ™‚

We should not argue about the scriptures in the bible coz we are different people and we have different interpretations.

Right on target again. But it is a sad fact that there are people who give us a version of Jesus, that they say we SHOULD believe in or else, we’ll be deserving of torture. It is those people that I take issue with.

Sa totoo lang, we should not take the bible as the ?book of rules?, but we should take the bible as an inspiration to do good things

The Bible is a mixed bag. A book with both appaling and inspiring content. But when people start to claim that it is the “infallible Word of God” and those who believe otherwise will be roasted in eternal fire…. all hell will break loose.

  36. He is actually introducing a new teaching that is so drastically different with what the Jews believed a

As far as I believe, Jesus didn’t “intend” to give birth to a new Religion. He just wanted to make a change. The religious leaders, during his time, were highly corrupt and many people were oppressed. Of course, like any other “corrupt leader”, they would not want any person to be attacking them.

  37. As far as I believe, Jesus didn?t ?intend? to give birth to a new Religion. He just wanted to make a change.

Indeed. Jesus was a liberal and a faithful Jew. He wants reforms, which the ultra conservative Jews took as an insult and blasphemy to their Jewish tradition and everything they believe in (the Jews believe that everything they believe and hold on to came from God himself so you’ll understand why they acted the way they did when these beliefs where challenged). Jesus realized the inadequacy of the laws and morals of the Tanakh and preached what he feels to be a better set of morals. He proposes changes on areas where there lie rooms for improvements, not to start a new religion.

The religious leaders, during his time, were highly corrupt and many people were oppressed. Of course, like any other ?corrupt leader?, they would not want any person to be attacking them.

This may be so. But even if they weren’t corrupt, their ultra conservative stance and their blind faith to their religious faith would still result to them persecuting Christ.

At present, the same thing is occurring. The Roman Catholic Church’s conservative stance of condemning birth control, the US conservative Evangelicals/Fundamentalists’ persecution and discrimination of homosexuals, their campaign for a theocratic government, their opposing standpoint on equality of men and women, etc. These surges all traced their roots on the Bible (more like their interpretation of it). Liberal Christians, Secular humanists, progressive individuals, among others have challenged these view points and they are actually winning in courts due largely to the fact they are using their reason as their guide. These modern-day-conservative-jews aren’t necessarily corrupt people, but they are so blinded on their religious persuasions and believe unquestioningly that what they are pushing are mandated by God himself since they allegedly came from the Bible, the “Word of God”. And when they are being corrected in favor of a better and progressive system, they feel that these reforms are an “attack” to their God and all He stands for.

  38. Could you please tell me what you meant by your post and what the rest of the comments have to say?

    I think I’d like to add in my two cents after I get the gist of it, all the comments are making it sort of hard to follow. ^^;

  39. Blog hopping ^_^ akala ko nag update kana ^_^ God bless πŸ˜€

Vince? Paul may said that? But I believe that Jesus commanded all of God’s children the great commission ^_^ God bless po ^_^
