Cain

Once, I committed a mistake –
One that made these hands tainted.
One that made me the one hated,
One that made my name well known.

I remember clearly that day,
As if it just happened today.
Not once these shadows stopped haunting me.
Not once I tried to break free.

Those questioning stares full of fright,
Those continues tears from his eyes,
As I chased him thoughout the plains,
As I cornered him without regret.

That loud cry full of pain,
And that warm crimson fluid that flowed.
As my sight filled with darkness
As I stabbed that cold knife.

Once, I committed a mistake –
One that made these hands tainted.
Never can I remain as fresh as a child,
‘Cause in everyone’s eyes,
I am but an unforgivable sinner.
A soul damned and lost for all eternity.
